Cheryl Ferris continues her exploration of the Great American Songbook with an evening dedicated to the legendary Cole Porter. Porter differed from many composers in that he wrote both the music and the lyrics to his songs. 

Of these songs, countless have become jazz standards, as they were featured in scores both on Broadway and in Hollywood films. Porter composed the likes of I Get a Kick Out of You, You’d Be So Nice to Come Home To, From This Moment On, I Love Paris, and Just One of Those Things. His music is so beloved that many artists, including Ella Fitzgerald, Anita O’Day, Frank Sinatra, and Rosemary Clooney, have released entire albums of his songs. Cheryl will be joined by a wonderful trio who will showcase their favorite Cole Porter compositions and pay tribute to his catchy melodies and sophisticated lyrics.
